This survey is a quick and powerful way to assess your company or unit! Its 16 categories are composed of the vital parts of what make organizations sail or sputter, lead or follow. I. What Are The 16 Key Categories?

There  are 16 critical questions that gauge a company’s strategic health. Here is a simple, proven, and powerful one page survey, a quick check-up that has been used with leadership teams in hundreds of companies world-wide. It is The Strategic Enterprise Assessment. You answer how well the organization is doing in these vital categories. On a 4.0 Grade Point Average Scale, where 4.0 is A and 0.0 is an F. Over 250 leadership teams' evaluations are in this data base. The first time average scores of all 16 categories for all companies' 1st-time scores is 2.44 out of 4.00. That shows how many opportunities for improvement there are! The following are the categories, followed by the survey, analysis questions, and benchmarks:

 

1.    Structure: How effective is the organization set up to run?

2.     Culture: How healthy is the internal environment?

3.     Executives: How effective is senior leadership?

4.     Management How well is the management team functioning?

5.     Employees:  What is their overall quality and performance?

6.     Communications: How effective is the flow of information in all directions?

7.     Technology: How well is it being utilized throughout the company?

8.     Teamwork: How healthy are working relationships across all departments?

9.     Customers: How well are they known and their needs satisfied?

10.   Competitors:  Are they known and out-competed accordingly?

11.   Business: Is knowledge of the trade sufficient and well utilized?

12.   Financial: How well does the company optimize “the dollar” in all regards?

13.   Planning Process: How effective is how the company develops its plans?

14.   Market Strategy: How effective is the company’s external planning?

15.   Plan Content: How strong and clear are the company’s goal priorities?

16.   Implementation: How effective is the timely completion of co. plans?
