Why Join a Local Cabinet? Reciprocating Value

Most people that show an initial interest in joining a Local Cabinet usually have one big question they want answered.  That question is "What will I get out of joining the Local Cabinet?"  Anyone who is thinking about signing up for monthly dues and a half day meeting per month will want to know what will they get in return.  What is the delivered value they can expect when they join a Local Cabinet?

The answer is "Reciprocating Value".  What the heck is that?  The best example of what is meant by reciprocating value is to think of Apple's IPhone and App Store.  The phone itself is nice but the apps you can get really add significant value.  The programmers who write the apps actually benefit as more apps are available because more people are drawn to the App Store to shop.  There is reciprocal value between Apple and the app writers but there is also reciprocal value between the app developers themselves.

In this same way, Local Cabinet members benefit from reciprocating value of the other members in The Local Cabinets.  There is value delivered from The Cabinet LLC, TheCabinetOnline.com, the Local Chairs, and the other Local Members.  Each party receives value and each adds value to the others.  As the community grows, the more value delivered will grow.

Here are a few examples of how Local Cabinet Members have actually received reciprocating value:
  • A member talks about one good idea in a Local Cabinet meeting, and get six good ideas from fellow members as each shares a best practice.
  • One member needs help and another member benefits when they provide help to that member in a market they have no prior experience in.
  • One member practices a speech in front of their Local Cabinet and gets a great critique that will help when they are in front of clients.  The members that heard the speech learned about a part of the business world they didn't know before.
The next time somebody asks why they should join the Local Cabinet, you might want to ask them how they would feel about joining a community of best-in-class mentors that are dedicated to helping them improve and achieve their goals. That is what a Local Cabinet really is.  Local Cabinet members become part of something bigger and better than themselves and benefit from the resulting reciprocating value.
