Developing Great Topics to Add Value to Your Local Cabinet Meeting

A great way to get value out of your Local Cabinet is to ask everyone to write down the top three problems they face in the business.  The Cabinet Chair should collect them and then review the list.  Reviewing the list will give all the members a chance to comment, expand and piggyback on the topic.

Once you have your list, write the list on a board or flip chart.  Ask your members to place three posted notes, with their name on each, on the three issues they are most interested in.  They can put a note on three, two or one.  After everyone is done, the Cabinet Chair counts the votes and ranks the topics in order of interest.

Once you have the list, look at the names and ask them if they would like to lead a presentation on the subject or recruit a speaker for the next meeting or how to get the most value out of the issue.  You now have a great list of agenda topics that will add value to every member of your Local Cabinet.
